King’s 2015 Telephone Fundraising Campaign
Saturday, 14th March - Wednesday, 1st April 2015
Last year, 7 out of every 10 Non-Resident Members we called chose to make a gift in support of the Telephone Fundraising Campaign. In the next three weeks, we hope to do even better.
The participation of the broader King's community in philanthropic support is incredibly important for the College. Your donations have a direct impact on the College's desire to see that no student should have to forsake their studies, and that no prospective and qualified student should be discouraged from applying, for financial reasons. Donations, in particular those to the Supplementary Exhibition Fund and to Studentships and Bursaries, have an almost immediate impact on the welfare of current students and the ability of the Tutorial Office to provide assistance where it is needed most.
This generosity on the part of our Non-Resident Members has a secondary, but no less important effect: when the College can demonstrate that the community supports its aims and principles, it opens the door to greater philanthropic opportunities inside and outside of the community. Avalanches start with snowflakes!
Please take time to read the Senior Tutor's letter when you receive it, and when one of our current students calls you, reflect on King's then and now, and how you can help the "now".
The success of the TFC depends entirely on the donations of our Members, continuing a long history of benefaction which enables the College to give each student an exceptional experience of King’s, regardless of their financial background.
Quite literally, we couldn't do it without you.
