King’s 2014 Telephone Fundraising Campaign
Saturday, 15th March - Sunday, 30th March 2014
The 2014 TFC is underway! We will attempt to call over 2,000 Non-Resident Members and ask them to support the College and its community. Please pick up the phone and help us ensure that current undergraduate and graduate students are given every opportunity to pursue their studies in our wonderful environment, and without fear of financial difficulty.
For current students
All undergraduates and graduates in residence are eligible to apply to be callers: it is an excellent opportunity to talk with a broad range of Non-Resident Members and discover what King's means to them and how their lives and careers have progressed, and to share your own experience of King's College in 2014.
Student callers will be asking Members they call to make a donation in support of the College. Last year six out ten Members who were called made a gift - this is a phenomenal result and we hope to better it this year. Few things better illustrate the impact of bringing current Members and Non-Resident Members together. The 2013 Campaign saw donations exceed £200,000 - over half of which went to areas directly supporting student access, hardship and activities.
For Non-Resident Members
We continue to be keen to increase provision for students in the form of Studentships and Bursaries, Supervisions, and the Supplementary Exhibition Fund. Supporting students from all backgrounds to study at King’s has long been a dearly held principle of the College, and this is becoming ever more crucial with the changes made to the funding of higher education. With increasing student fees, we must ensure that a King’s education remains accessible to the brightest and most promising students by being able to offer financial support to all who need it.
This is being made possible by the donations of our Members, continuing a long history of benefaction which enables the College to give each student an exceptional experience of King’s, regardless of their financial background.
