Final year King's students were awarded their degrees last Thursday. The graduation ceremony began at 8.45am when the students
gathered outside the Chapel in the morning sunshine wearing their gowns. Students are
only allowed to wear black and white on Graduation Day - if they are
seen wearing any other colour in the degree ceremony, the college is
fined in a traditional manner: in bottles of port.
The 117 students walked in procession out of the college,
down King's Parade and into the Senate House. After the ceremony they joined their friends and families outside the Senate House, before heading back to King's for a buffet lunch party in the Provost's
Garden.
Of course, King's relationship with its students does not end with their
graduation - we are delighted to be welcoming these 117 Members into our Non Resident Member community!
