On 20 March, Cambridge in America will host their annual Cambridge in America Day at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. It will be excellent occasion for all King's members in New York at that time to join in with other Cambridge alumni for what promises to be an interesting programme.

The event will run from 2pm until 7pm and include lectures by Professor Charles Melville (Pembroke) on Persian Miniature Painting, Epic Poetry and the Internet and professor Andy Parker (Peterhouse) about the science aims and current status of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, at CERN in Geneva, including searches for new particles and exotic physics like extra space dimensions and black holes.

There will also be a panel discussion moderated by Professor Catharine Stimpson (Newnham), Dean of New York University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science.

Drinks & hors d'oeuvres will follow, providing the perfect opportunity to continue the discussion.

Why not visit the Cambridge in America website to find out more about the speakers, programme and to sign up? Alternatively you can contact Cambridge in America for more information: 001-212-984-0960 or events@cantab.org
