The date of the general election is still unknown - but King's member, David Zeichner (KC 1976) has been unveiled as Labour's candidate for the Cambridge seat.
DANIEL Zeichner has lived with his partner Barbara - or "Budge" as she prefers
to be known - since they met as undergraduates at King's 30 years ago.
As students they lived in French's Road, and four years ago moved back to
Cambridge to live in Victoria Road.
He was born in Beckenham and went to
school in West Wickham and Croydon. He worked at Shire Hall for Cambridgeshire
County Council as a trainee computer programmer, but was also a trade union
steward. He later worked for Perkins Engines in Peterborough and Philips in
Cambridge on the former Simoco site.
He has worked for Unison since 2002.
